Yea! Finally something new to look at.

It's been a really long time since I've updated my blog so here's a mass update on our little girl. She changes and gets even cuter every minute, (I just might be a little biased).

New Pictures!

We were at Kiddie Kandids for about an hour before Brooklyn decided to smile. She has just discovered sucking on her hands and didn't want her mouth or hands to be doing anything else. We did end up getting some good ones though. She's getting to be so grown up.

Christmas Time Is Here Again!

It took Mark and I a long time to get in the Christmas spirit but we did finally put up a tree and a few decorations. We've had a great holiday and have loved spending time off together. And I love baby holiday dresses.

Rice Cereal

She wasn't so sure about what I was giving her but it's growing on her. I decided to start some solids because she's always so watchful when we eat and she isn't always completely satified after her bottle. I also have given her the flavored rice puffs and she thinks tose are pretty gross. I think the cherry is too strong of a flavor to start with so I got the sweet potato and she likes those better but still thinks they're pretty weird and always pulls funny faces when she's eating them or just spits them out.

Favorites

Brooklyn loves to play on her mat, enjoys the view from her Bumbo and she just recently discovered her feet and loves to play with them too.

Twilight the movie.

Did anyone else see Twilight over weekend? What did you think? I won free tickets from 107.9 FM for opening night and my favorite part was listening to all the ladies giggle everytime Edward did/said anything cute.

How Krista met Mark.

1.Where did you meet?
Seminary Class in High School he was a senior and I was a sophmore.
2.What was the first thought that went through your head when you met?
Hey, he's kinda cute. I should be friends with him.
3.Do you remember what he/she was wearing?
No, but it was probably something like a looney toons t-shirt, pants that were too tight and big work boots. He's come a ling way!!

4.Where was the first time you kissed this person?
Our fourth date, while helping his sister move. Me, inside the bed of his truck, handing boxes down to him then I just leaned in and puckered up! How romantic, right?

5.Where did you go for your first date?
We got Subway(Mark "stole" a fountain drink. I should have known I was in for trouble!) and had a picnic up the canyon. We got lost along the way and almost ran out of gas. Then we stopped for a snow cone which I spill all down the front of my new white shirt so he took me home to change. Then Mark let me drive his new truck and we went downtown and walked around temple square. Now that I think back on it, that was a really long first date. But it was so easy to talk to him and we wre both so comfortable around each other.

6.How long did you know this person before you became a couple?
About six months.
7.How did he/she ask you out?
A phone call. After the whole phone number exchange fiasco! ( That's a whole other story.)
8.Has this person ever proposed to you?
Yes, and he totally suprise me that day. Even though I knew it was coming eventually.
9.Do you and this person have kids together?
One adaorable mini-Mark in girl form. We love her!
10.Have you ever broken the law with this person?
Maybe that drink from subway, but Mark will deny that all the way.
11.When was the first time you realized that you liked this person?
At the end of the school year when Mark was graduating and I thought I would never see him again.

12.Do you get along with his/her family?
Yep!
13.Do you trust this person?
Absolutely!!
14.Do you see her/him as your partner in your future?
Yes and no. He works a lot! Just kidding honey!
15.What is the best gift she/he gave you?
Flowers on the day of month we were married for months after we were married.
16.What is one thing He/She does that gets on your nerves?
Starting projects but not finishing them.
17.Where do you see each other 15 years from now?
Who know? But as long as were together I'm good with that.
18.What causes the most arguments?
Time.
19.How long have you been together?
Eight years!
20.Are you Married?
For eternity!
21. Who Do you Tag?
Kate and anyone else who wants to.

Halloween!

Brooklyn was the cutest little pumpkin for Halloween. Mark and I weren't very festive and didn't dress up this year and Brooklyn couldn't have cared less because she was so tired. But we had to go show her off! So we went to a few neighbors houses and they gave her some candy (which Mark and I ate!). One piece she held on to with a death grip the rest of the night, even after we got home and she fell asleep. It was adorable. Later that night, Jon, Mindy, Kara and Cory came over for chilli and played games. We had lots of fun. Thanks for entertaining us guys! I can't wait till next year when Brooklyn might be big enough to enjoy being dressed up and paraded around!

Blessing Day

Of course the day of Brooklyn's blessing, when we're having lots of people over and plan to utilize our deck and backyard, IT SNOWED! So that changed our plans a bit, but we all just crowded in the house and it worked out just fine. Mark had been worried that Brooklyn would just cry the whole time he was trying to give her a blessing 9he gets very frustrated when she cries), but the sweet little girl fell asleep for about 15 minutes and luckily that time frame included her blessing! Unfortunately, these pictures are from later that night because, being the scatter-brained parents we are, we forgot to take pictures earlier and had to redress her later on. I'm very surprised Grandma Ruthie didn't have her camera handy earlier, as she always does. Then again, Brooklyn was exasted and fall alseep shortly after we got home from church, so she spent most of the party in her crib. I love her dress from BabyGap but it was still too big and I had to pin it in the back. Still very cute but she'll be even cuter in it in a month or so. Can you believe she's already 3 months old?!

So Sleepy

I couldn't resist taking this picture. I couldn't get her to wake up for anything.

Swimming!

I was so excited to finally have a reason to use the adorable littile swimsuit I bought for Brooklyn. Just in time too because she's pretty much grown out of it. She really like to water and her little diaper kept her body afloat. It wore her out too, she took a long nap when we were finished. Isn't she so cute?! I love her!

Bear Lake

Mark has been working 130 hour pay periods lately and is getting really burned out so we took a well needed break and went to stay in our time share at Bear Lake for a few days. Of course it's too cold to play in the lake but we took walks, swam in the indoor pool, did a little hiking and just relaxed. It was really great. Thanks again to Colin and Jess for watching our crazy Cooper so we could go!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today I turned 25! (That's one of those ages you never thought you'd reach.) Mark, Brooklyn and I took a picnic went up Little Cottonwood to Silver Lake and walked around the boardwalk. It was so pretty up there! The colors of the changing leaves are beautiful and the temperature is perfect! There were even girls getting their bridals done. We live so close to these canyons, I really need to take moer advantage of them! It was a really fun night.

Animals We Saw Up The Canyon

We saw a male and female moose together right off the side of the road. We didn't have time to change our camera's setting to nighttime because cars were coming behind us so unfortunately the pictures aren't clear, but they were very cool to see. We also saw a few Blue Jays (my favorite bird) and some chipmunks.

New Baby Cousin!

Megan Andrea Ogden is finnaly here! Born exactly on her due date 9/28/08, 7 lbs. 15 oz., 18.5 inches. Can you believe all that brown hair? Melissa said "If I hadn't seen her come out of me I would have told them they brought me the wrong baby!" I'm excited Brooklyn has cousins close to her same age. Brooklyn had gone to her 2 mo. doctor appointment the morning these pictures were taken and she is now 11 lbs and 24 inches. How fast she has changed! Megan looked so tiny next to her, though the little pink outfit is decieving because it's hard to tell in the pictures how small she actually is. Posted by Picasa
