It's been 15 years...

I got my hair cut today. It's been 15 years since I had any bangs. Mark says they make me look younger. Since I'm only 27, I haven't decided if that's a good thing or bad thing yet. This may take some getting used to.

Cornbelly's

This place way so fun with tons to do! I think we'll have to make it a yearly tradition! But go earlier in October before it gets SO cold!

Uncle Phil's Funeral

I hope it's not disrespectful to blog about a funeral but it was a very inspiring and memorable experience. I think we were all honored just to be in attendence. I wouldn't even be able to begin to describe every amazing detail, so I'm not going to try. I will say he was a great man and example to all of us and he will be missed. It was good to see family that we don't see often and good to know that we can all be reunited again someday.

Fun Night

The Tauai's came over for some Halloween fun last week. The guys scooped the guts of the pumpkins while the gals and kids made and decorated cookies. Then Anika and I carved the pumpkins while the kids plays and Mark and Joshua supervised. We had lots of fun and love to hang out with these guys!

Is it Halloween yet?

I love Halloween season and dressing up (though Mark informed me that he "resents me" for making him do it too. Ha ha ha!). We crashed Kara's ward party tonight and Brooklyn had a blast playing the carnival games they had. I'm not completely done making our "real" costumes (more pictures to come next week of those), so we rummaged through our Halloween box and found these jerseys to match the cheerleading outfit Brooklyn just got in a bag of hand-me-downs.
Yay!

Witches @ Gardner Village

Brooklyn and I went to Gardner Village with Jessica, Kenner and Lily thinking that the kids would love to see the witches but they were all a bit frightened by them instead. We still had fun though moseying around the stores and eventually the kids warmed up to the witches and took a couple cute pictures for us.

P.S. So, I rotated my pictures in the photo library but for some reason it would not stay that way when I uploaded them to the blog. I tryed a few times to fix it but gave up and posted them anyway. Any tips?

Good TImes

The past few years for my birthday, we have had a picnic up at Brighton's Silver Lake. It's so pretty and relaxing and a perfect little walk around the lake (which was mostly dried up this year if you can't tell. but still very beautiful.) This year my parents and Kara, Cory and Jack came with us. I love my family and love that they are always there for me at the drop of a hat, no real planning nessicary. We had a great time eating dinner together and Mark had made me a layered German chocolate cake for dessert. Yum! We wanted to take some fun family pictures while there but it endede up being a little chilly and Brooklyn just wasn't into it. I love the picture of her crying though. It's adorable. I think this is a tradition I will keep every year for my birthday. Thanks everyone!
